SENIORS OF THE MONTH FOR NOVEMBER
MICHAEL FRIEL, son of Warren and
Kathleen Friel of Mickleton.
School Activities:
Student Council Executive Board for Charity/Fundraising Chair,
International Connections Club, Political Columnist for the school
newspaper, Mock Trial lawyer, National Honor Society, New Jersey and
Princeton Model Congress delegate, tennis, Youth Advisory Council with
Congressman LoBiondo.
Out of School
Activities: 4-H member, part-time custodian, pen pal in Sri Lanka.
Honors/Awards:
Honorable Mention in Presidential Cabinet, Secretary of Veterans’ Affairs,
Princeton Model Congress 2010 and 2011, Honor Roll every quarter of high
school, 4-H Best Public Speaker for Gloucester County.
Future Plans:
Michael plans to attend American University, study Political Science and
International Relations, and would like to join the Foreign Service or
manage campaigns, and eventually run for president.
RACHEL IPPOLITE, daughter of Ronald and
Christina Ippolite of Woolwich Township.
School Activities:
Varsity Field Hockey and Lacrosse, SADD, Student Council Executive
Board for Special Events/Planning Committee.
Out of School
Activities: Summer volunteer at Head Start daycare.
Honors/Awards:
Gloucester County Player of the Year – Field Hockey member of the South
Jersey Group III Championship Field Hockey Team. Numerous Principal’s
List honors.
Future Plans:
Rachel plans to attend Rider University to study Biology. She hopes to
receive a master’s degree for Physical Therapy, and would like to open her
own physical therapy practice.
VERONICA JEZIORSKI, daughter of Leszek and
Malgorzata Jeziorski of Woolwich Township.
School Activities:
National Honor Society, Student Council, Interact, SADD, and Softball.
Out of School
Activities: Fight for Life, volunteer at St. John Cantius Church,
referee for in-house soccer league, assistant coach for soccer.
Honors/Awards:
Superintendent’s List 2010-2011 (grade 11), Michael Marco Jr. Citizenship
Award, Thomas P. Wilson Award for Outstanding Community Service, President
Obama Award for Outstanding Academic Achievements (grade 9).
Future Plans:
Veronica plans to study pre-medicine and would like to become a
pediatrician.
